There's nothing quite like a block challenge to show you how quickly a week can go by! It's hard to believe that we have zoomed through Christmas, into the New Year and now looking towards Valentine's Day.
Here we are, at Block #2 in the Riley Blake Design's Challenge. Bev over at Flamingo Toes, has designed this beautiful block, called 'Sweetheart'- perfect for the upcoming holiday! You can find the pattern, along with all of the details for the Challenge over at Riley Blake Design's site by clicking here.
Isn't it beautiful?! I'm still using leftover Art Gallery scraps from a previous quilt, which I will share in another post. One of the biggest challenges (no pun intended) for me, is working with stripes and making sure they're even. I can't be the only person that notices when stripes aren't perfect? Now that I mentioned it, I'm sure you're doubling back to check my work. I'm definitely not perfect in this area, I won't even lie! It's a work in progress.
I can't wait to see what the next week holds! The trick is going to be actually saving all of these blocks for a quilt at the end...I may or may not have already used one for another purpose!
