Hi, I'm Ashley!

While I do consider sewing as my main occupation, I am also a mother of five. Yes, five- ages twelve down to brand new. Our days are filled with chaos from 4 a.m. to finish. Cooking, cleaning, sports, work, school, appointments- the list goes on and on...but during all of this, I'm always sneaking into my sewing room to put just one more stitch in my latest project.

There is absolutely nothing like something handmade and the time and thought that goes into it. I want to teach my children to slow down in life and put their everything into something.

I'm a self-taught seamstress and have spent years learning and studying different aspects of my craft. I created the Southern Sewing Company because I love to sew. I love to create and to make things. What's that saying-'if you do what you love, you never work a day in your life?' Insert that here.
