here's how we'll do it

DAY 1
We’ll start with the basics by learning the Backstitch, a versatile and essential stitch for beginners. You’ll also get a breakdown of the supplies you need to start your embroidery journey and tips for setting up your space for success.

DAY 2
On Day 2, we’ll dive into the French Knot—perfect for adding texture and dimension to your designs. We’ll tackle common challenges beginners face with this stitch and make it simple to add it into your projects.
03
DAY 3
On the final day, we’ll introduce the Lazy Daisy stitch and guide you through using all three stitches to create your first embroidery design- an inspirational quote on a sweatshirt or item of your choice. You'll leave with the confidence to continue your embroidery journey and apply what you've learned to future projects.

I'M ASHLEY
Hey! It's nice to 'meet' you. I'm a stay-at-home mother of 5, ages 14 down to 3 and love skipping chores to sew something fun.
What started as an outlet amidst the chaos that a big family brings has turned into an all-encompassing passion and a way to share my love of sewing with others, like you!
I've spent hours and hours scouring the internet to find answers to quilting and embroidery questions...usually coming up short handed. It's been my goal at Southern Sewing Co. to share everything you need, while holding nothing back.

Q: What if I've never embroidered before?
A: This challenge is beginner friendly and designed to help complete newcomers or those that have some experience that are looking to brush up on their skills.
Q: What do I need for this challenge?
A: You'll receive a full supplies list after signing up, complete with everything you need and links to where to find them. P.S.....the supplies are cheaper than you think!
Q: What if I can't attend live?
A: No problem! Sign up anyway...I will be sending replays of each day. I sure hope you can make it though..I will be answering questions as I see them!
Q: How long will the challenge take?
A: Plan for about thirty minutes on days one and two and an hour on day three! While we may be finished earlier, I'm hoping to share as much info as I can in a short amount of time!
